Advice Shop

The Advice Shop provides a free and confidential information and advice service on welfare benefits and debt matters.

Initial contact can be made by phoning 0131 200 2360 or calling into 249 High Street, Edinburgh, EH1 1YJ. Information and advice can be given by phone and appointments booked for face to face assistance such as form filling, resolution of disputes with DWP and planning how to manage problematic debts.

The Advice Shop also runs outreach sessions at Gorgie Citizens Advice Bureaux, Libertus in Gracemount, Oxgangs Neighbourhood Centre and the Willow Project.

We have a specialist Welfare Rights service that assists people affected by camcer and other long-term health conditions. This is supported by macmillan Cancer Support.
