Carer Befriending Service

Do you look after someone on a regular basis?  Are you living in Edinburgh City?  Would you like to meet someone for companionship and a social activity?

We can match you with a befriender who could meet you once a week or fortnight for a minimum of one hour.  What you do in that time depends on what you would like from the relationship, so this may involve going for a walk, joining an activity class, going to the cinema or just sitting having a coffee & chat.

This project is open to all carers living in Edinburgh City.  We define carer as a person who provides unpaid help and support to a spouse, relative, friend or neighbour.

The service is free to access but you will need to consider budgeting for activities that you decide to undertake whilst with the befriender.
